“Craft is a subject where mathematics and science meets practical use. It combines thinking skills with hands-on learning and creativity. In craft students learn skills that they need in their everyday life both now and in the future. While practising different methods, they learn to appreciate craft and build an understanding of the process. Working with your hands is a perfect way to use your brain in a different way and take a break from academics.”

“Woodwork is a component of the design subject. In woodwork, students engage in the entire craft process, which includes generating ideas, experimentation, planning, making the product, documenting progress, and assessment. Throughout this process, students explore the environment, culture, society, and history through crafts. They also understand the significance of crafts in everyday life.”
“In physical education lessons, students learn to take responsibility for their physical activity and develop enthusiasm for various games and activities. We offer a wide range of sports, games, and activities so that students can discover their preferred way to stay physically active. Additionally, students learn teamwork, sportsmanship, safety, and develop their fine and gross motor skills.”

WHOLE
“Home Economics teaches your child about managing their daily life for example; what proper nutrition, food safety, and healthy eating habits are. Topics related to family dynamics such as cleaning, dishwashing, washing, and ironing clothes, groceries, and household finances are also covered.
In our state-of-the-art Home Economics classroom, students can develop practical skills alongside implementing subjects such as English, Maths, and Science. It fosters creativity, thinking and problem-solving skills as we explore topics related to home and family life. Home economics educates individuals about the efficient use of resources such as time, energy, and money.
Developing skills in resource management promotes self-reliance, independence, and resilience, which are essential for personal growth and success. Learning about budgeting, saving, and wise spending habits helps students to navigate financial challenges and to plan for the future, which indirectly supports personal growth and stability.”

We believe that education is not just about academic excellence, but also about nurturing complete individuals, capable of thriving in an ever-changing world. We prepare our students for the future, by focusing deeply on their present. We believe in equity over equality, which means that we recognize each individual learner, in a diversity of learners, and design ‘Personal Development Pathways’ with goal-based assessment, to discover and develop each one’s true passion and unique potential.
Our aim is to be an exemplary learning hub with outstanding learning results. We offer the internationally acclaimed Finnish science of ‘the way you teach’ and ‘how children learn,’ with learning being holistic and versatile - from learning transversal skills, cross-curricular themes, to phenomena-based, real-life experiential learning across maths, science, languages, history, swimming, sports, art, music, woodwork, and culinary science. We encourage curiosity, concept learning over content learning, and collaboration, making our students intuitive problem-solvers, innovators and active team players.
